A special thanks to the Melvin 313 Club for joining us this morning for High Five Friday!

Check out what students in Mrs. Kroese's class are learning!

The students in Mrs. Ward's room are working hard!

Mrs. Swenson's TK students continue to grow!

Mrs. Kroese's problem-solving class has been studying plastic. They learned that milk can actually be used to create plastic. In their lab, they tested different amounts of vinegar and then weighed the amount of casein they were able to extract from the milk. They will use their results to graph their information and then re-do the lab using the amount of vinegar they feel will work best to create their own plastic creations.

As the fourth grade students went through Eureka! Student Inventors, they read a range of informational texts about inventors, inventions, and the creation process. In addition to close readings, students analyzed objects and situations in the world around them, identified problems, created evidence-based solutions, and ultimately became inventors themselves. They are pictured working on the challenge of cleaning up the office space which has too much garbage and must invent an apparatus to get garbage from the desk to a garbage can two feet away, without tossing it.

Friday, February 7th from 7:45-8:20 join the Middle School as we celebrate all the important Dudes in our students' lives. Be it Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Big Brother, Coach, Neighbor, or even Mom/Grandma.
We are so very thankful for these "dudes" in our students' lives and we want to celebrate them. The event will be in the Middle School Lunchroom. Come for coffee, donuts, and laughter.
