Last night was the War Eagle Conference Academic Award Banquet. Each school in the War Eagle Conference honors their top 5% of students in both the junior and senior classes. The dinner took place at Trinity High School and had Dr. Dan Cox, chief administrator of Northwest AEA, as the keynote speaker. Our Junior honorees were Payton Diehm and Lillian Van Loon. The Senior honorees, who were unable to attend, were Gracie Knobloch and Samantha Berends. Congratulations!

This week in Mrs. Francis’ Advanced Foods class, students took a deep dive into the world of noodles! To wrap up their unit, students rolled up their sleeves and made fresh, homemade fettuccine from scratch — and, of course, finished it off with a delicious alfredo sauce. Pasta perfection!

There is an additional calendar update due to the school closure yesterday, March 19th. The last day of school for students will now be Monday, May 27th. Students will be dismissed early at 1:15/1:30.


🧦💙 Join Us for World Down Syndrome Day! 💙🧦
World Down Syndrome Day is Friday, March 21st. To celebrate, were inviting students, staff, and community members to "rock your socks" by wearing your most colorful, fun, and funky socks to bring awareness and increase support for those with Down syndrome!


Mark your calendars! The HMS High School Spring Concert, Senior Recognition, and Art Show will take place on Tuesday, April 29th at 7:00 pm in the High School Gym. The Art Show will be open before and after the concert.


HMS will be closed on Wednesday, March 19th due to the blizzard warning.


ISASP state testing is next week! Here are a few reminders so our HMS students can do their best on the test! Attendance for the week is important so please plan accordingly.


Last week, The naturalist visited the fourth grade to talk about reflection, refraction, transmission, absorption, and chromatography of light waves!






Yesterday was a beautiful day for a stroll! Students in Mrs. Ward's class have been discussing seasons and changes in the weather during science. This week is the perfect week to notice the change in seasons!



Reminder to all HMS families that school will be dismissing early today, Tuesday, March 18th and Thursday, March 20th due to Parent Teacher Conferences. We look forward to sharing with you at conferences!


Agriculture in the Classroom came into 4th grade to do a lesson on the journey from egg to table. Students had fun participating in the interactive acitivties!
